Loop Alarm Sensor CablesWhen setting up the loop alarm the sensor cable would be fed through appropriate anchor points on each item to be protected, the circuit loop connected and the alarm activated via the keyswitch. In the event of the circuit being broken the alarm is triggered and the oscillating siren activated.
Various forms of sensor cable are available, some of which have universal application, whilst others are designed to protect specific types of equipment.
Sensor Cable types available include: Universal Capstan Limpet cable
The limpet attachment bonds to the surface of the item to be protected with a special adhesive pad, and incorporates a microswitch which is depressed as the unit is attached. In the event that the limpet is detached or the sensor cable unplugged or cut the circuit is broken and the alarm triggered. |
Universal Tab connector sensor cable
Each of the special bond on tabs is designed for single use after which the sensor cable can be re-used by inserting a replacement tab. The tab incorporates a special printed circuit within the adhesive portion, which is broken as the tab is removed from the surface to which it is stuck. The versatile half connector simply attaches to a suitable "D" type socket (of any size ) on the PC. It incorporates a microswitch on the underside which is depressed as the unit is attached.
