At last! a professional, ultra compact, Taxi CCTV System that's
simple to install and easily affordable.
- Everything you need in one box
- Simple to install
- Very low power consumption (circa 250mA)
- Images (& audio) are recorded on to a standard CF (Compact
Flash) card
Despite it’s ultra compact dimensions and modest
price tag, this versatile, mobile DVR system is a truly
professional and practical, safety and security aid for taxi drivers
everywhere.

Image (& audio)
recording
During the simple initial set-up, the image size,
recording resolution and recording frame rate can be set to suit your
personal preferences for image quality and recording duration, - for
example you could set it
to cover your operating shift. JPEG image compression
technology is used
for image storage efficiency, with all images being date and time stamped.
The system is supplied as standard with a 16GB CF
card on which the recorded images (& audio) are stored. Recorded video and sound can be played back on an optional compact LCD/TFT
monitor/screen, or downloaded to a PC
for archiving, printing etc. (CF card reader not supplied).
The system automatically starts to record on power up
and during the initial set-up, it can be set to record continuously or on
motion detection.
The recording mode can be set to 'Overwrite' (oldest images first)
or to 'Stop'
recording when the CF card is full.
Powering the system
The system can be powered from any
convenient on-board 12v power supply (even the cigarette
lighter) - so there's no need to break into the vehicles ignition switch. The power cable is supplied with an in-line fuse
and dashboard mount on/off switch with illuminated indicator
The camera
The ultra compact, high resolution (420TVL) colour
Sony CCD camera features an integral super sensitive microphone and built
in IR (infra-red) illuminators
The camera comes complete with a versatile mounting bracket and
slim 3
metre cable which supplies power to the camera and also delivers the audio and video signals from camera to
the DVR. The IR illuminators automatically switch on when the light sensor
detects they are needed.
Low power consumption
Super efficient electronics, means that the
system only uses around 250mA power in total (recorder & camera), so
it won't drain your battery like some of the
power hungry DVR units currently being sold which can draw up to 4-5 amps.
