Universal CD, DVD, Tape Drive Drive Locks

Designed to protect your CD-ROM Drive / Tape Drive / etc., this externally mounted unit simply bonds onto the drive adjacent to the drive slot in a position that allows the rotating locking tongue to prevent insertion or removal of media via the slot when in the locked position.

For security, the lock offers 2000 key differs (unique key patterns), whilst for maximum convenience and to simplify key management, the CD Lock is also available as an option in keyed alike lock suites.

Drive locks are designed to protect against:

• Corruption of Data whilst it is held on the computer, by preventing the deliberate or unwitting introduction of a virus.
• The unauthorised downloading of data from the hard drive, thus preventing unlawful use as defined by Data Protection legislation, or the unauthorised distribution of company sensitive information.
• The loading and use of pirate or unlicensed software (which could render the company liable to prosecution) or games (which could incorporate a virus).
