Property Marking / Asset Identification

The primary purpose of property marking is to identify ownership of the items marked, although some types of marking system also lend themselves to use for production or quality control, etc. Permanently marking items with an approved system may deter the opportunist thief and would certainly help the Police to return to you any stolen goods which are subsequently recovered.

Visual Marking Systems
Visual Systems are those where the mark is visual and immediately obvious. These include bond on labels and tags, engraving systems, chemical and electrolytic etching systems and hot branding.   Chemical Etching Stencils

Covert Marking Systems
Covert marking systems are those where the identification mark is not obviously visible, e.g. UV Microdot or DNA marking and which require some form of reader or specialist analysis to interpret.   UV Markers

The low cost involved in marking or identifying your equipment makes it an ideal "extra security precaution" to be used in conjunction with other security measures.
