Security marking of valuable property serves two key functions:
Police forces throughout the UK recommend that all valuable assets, often targeted by criminals, are security marked. They typically recommend security marking for tools, bike security, motorcycles, scooters, quad bikes, trailers, saddles and anything else that’s portable and easy to sell on the black market.
We offer a range of property marking solutions for almost every application:

We offer a range of high quality security marking products and kits that meet police and insurance company recommendations for both visible and covert property marking.
UV Pens allow you to apply security markings that are invisible in normal daylight but which can be seen when a UV light is applied. Most UV pens are not suitable for security marking as they are not permanent. We offer permanent UV pens with ink that cannot be easily removed.
Etching is a visible form of security marking. Etching can be carried out using a mechanical scribe or etching tool but chemical security etching systems are now commonly used.
A key advantage provided by synthetic DNA, microdot and other chemical security marking systems is that it does not damage the marked item. Another advantage is that this form of security marking is quick and easy to apply while being almost impossible to remove.
Microdots are tiny discs suspended in an adhesive solution. The tiny microdots, which are almost too small to be seen with the naked eye, are printed with details which can only be viewed with the aid of a microscope.
Synthetic DNA is used to both mark valuable property and potentially stick to criminals who attempt to steal valuables. Police forces routinely use UV light to examine retrieved stolen property and apprehended miscreants. If the property under examination or the suspected criminal’s clothes or skin fluoresce under the light then samples are taken and sent for analysis.
Property tagging involves the use of electronic transponders, also known as RFID chips or microchips. Each transponder presents a unique identification code that can be read using a handheld device, commonly used by UK police forces. Transponder property tags are typically used in conjunction with additional property marking techniques such as tamper resistant warning stickers, microdots and etching.
