DefendaStrip - Anticlimb Spikes

DefendaStrip is a durable and super flexible strip of robust plastic spikes, which allow it to easily follow the contours of the surface to be protected and to which it is attached.

The rugged spikes vary in height along and across the strip and range from 25 to 30mm tall.

Each spike features a 1mm diameter flat top, so it is not intended to cause skin puncture injuries, however it is certainly a very real deterrent to anyone attempting to grab on to the protected surface.

Initially conceived to provide a simple, low cost way to prevent vandals or intruders from walking along the top of potentially fragile or sensitive larger diameter pipes such as gas or water pipework. Which is why DefendaStrip is already used by a number of Gas and Water Authorities, where it is often fixed in position with steel banding or heavy duty cable ties. Alternatively, each strip can be fixed in position with screws where relevant.

To ensure the product will blend in with its local environment, the strips are available in a choice of colours; Black, Brown, Green or Grey.

DefendaStrip is supplied as standard as a bare bones product without fixings, as the type of fixings used will depend on the nature and composition of the structure to be fixed to.

Larger commercial organisations will normally have access to the type of steel banding required for fixing the strips in position around large pipework for instance.

For the convenience of our customers, Insight Security offer a range of ancillary products such as heavy duty cable ties and warning signs.

DefendaStrip is available to purchase as individual strips or in a range of handy pack sizes, each of which includes 1 or more, HiVis  anti climb 150 x 100mm warning signs (see drop down menus for pack sizes and included warning signs, and colour options).
