Germ Clear Bird Droppings Disinfectant Spray

Germ Clear Bird Droppings Disinfectant Spray is a specifically formulated product to help clean and remove pigeon and seagull guano prior to the installation of Bird Deterrent Spikes or Gels.

To install bird spikes or other bird deterrent products, to proof your property from pigeons, seagulls and other birds, the surfaces and ledges must be clean, ensuring a firm fix when the bird spikes or dishes are glued down.

Germ Clear has the added benefit of disinfecting the area, killing off the dangerous bacteria lurking in bird droppings that can cause all sorts of health issues.

Specification & Use

This disinfectant spray has been specially formulated to prevent the formation of dust, disinfect and loosen droppings from the affected area.

Supplied in 750 ml (25 fl.oz) Trigger Spray bottle 

Product to be used neat, sprayed directly onto surfaces.

Germ Clear is;

BS EN 1276 certified: An antibacterial suspension test proving it kills 99.999% of bacteria within 5 minutes of use, particularly MRSA, Salmonella, Flu Virus and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa.

BS EN 13967 and BS EN 13727 certified: A non-porous surface test for domestic, industrial and medical areas, proving efficacy against bacteria and fungicides such as E.Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, MRSA and Enterococcus hirae.

Not tested on animals.

How to use Germ Clear Bird Droppings Disinfectant Spray?

Germ Clear Bird Droppings Disinfectant Spray is formulated to destroy, dissolve and disinfect bird droppings. It is ideal for areas where Bird Spikes or Deterrent Gels need to be installed and general cleaning.

It is suitable for all surfaces such as windowsills, ledges, walls, roofs, patios and play equipment where birds have perched and pooped.

Step 1 – Preparation:

Cleaning an area that has a lot of bird droppings can be a messy job. We would recommend wearing overalls or old clothing, a mask to help prevent breathing in any pigeon dust, and protective goggles or overspecs for eye protection.

Step 2 – Application:

Turn the nozzle to spray and depress the trigger. Spray from a distance of 10 – 15 cm all over the area to be cleaned to dampen down any dry debris and guano.

Spray liberally and allow the spray to soak in for a minimum of 5 minutes. We recommend soaking the area completely to gain full penetration into the driest bird droppings.

Step 3 – Scraping: Use a metal scraper to remove the larger bits of debris and pigeon guano.

Respray the area with Germ Clear Bird Droppings Disinfectant Spray and then use a stiff brush to remove further pigeon poo. Finally, respray and use a damp cloth to wipe the area clean. Then leave it to fully dry before installing your pigeon deterrent product.

Step 4 – Drying:

Always allow the area to dry fully for at least 24 hours before installing your Bird Spikes or other deterrent product, especially when using fixing silicone.

Step 5 – Clean Up:

It is imperative to wash your hands with an antibacterial hand wash after coming in contact with any bird debris or droppings. Also wash your soiled clothes, gloves and PPE as directed.
