Lockable Phone Pouch Unlocker

FoneAway Mobile Phone Pouches, lock with a simple click of the inbuilt locking button, but to unlock the pouch in order to retrieve the stored phone, a special magnet unlocker is needed.

All unlockers feature a special high power magnet which unlocks the lock on the phone pouch, by simply tapping the pouch lock against the magnet.

To ensure that there is an unlocker unit suitable for any environment, Insight Security offer a choice of options.

The Lollipop Hand Held Wand Unlocker

This versatile hand held unlocker unit features an unlocking magnet mounted on a lightweight, ergonomically designed handle.

The portability of the unit means that it can be stored in a desk drawer or locker until required, but is quickly and easily deployed for use wherever required, including offering additional unlocking capacity should any operational choke points or emergencies occur.

The Wall / Desk Mount Unlocker

Designed to be fitted to a wall, post or desktop, this unit features the unlocker magnet mounted onto a robust 160 x 160mm plate which can be screwed in position onto a wall or desk with the fixing pack supplied.

These units are suitable for installation in monitored or restricted access areas, however as they offer open access, they could of course facilitate unauthorised pouch unlocking.

The fitted unit provides a stable base for the magnet, which is important when many users need to unlock their pouches quickly at a specific time, such as at the end of a school or working day.

Rather than mounting multiple magnets in close proximity on a single plate, which could lead to unruly jostling as crowds form around the plate for the unlocking action, we have designed our plate system to feature a single magnet, allowing multiple units to be spaced at appropriate distances apart to avoid over-crowding issues. 

The "Lock-Box" - Secure Unlocker

The Lock-Box option features a magnet secured within a lockable enclosure, which can be locked to prevent unauthorised access during phone access restriction times, and unlocked as required at the end of the school or work day, the end of a performance or event, etc..

The Lock-Box is designed to be wall, fence or post mounted and comes with a standard fixing kit.

A high quality padlock is used to secure the Lock-Box fascia plate in postion, to prevent access to the magnet during times of restriction.

When the unlocker is needed for use, the padlock is removed and the fascia plate hinges down to expose the magnet.

To avoid losing or misplacing the padlock while the unit is unlocked, it can be locked on to the special tab on the inside of the fascia plate, where it can be safely left until the box needs to be locked up again.

For the convenience of users installing multiple Lock Boxes, Insight Security are pleased to offer padlocks for all units in a Customer Unique - Keyed Alike Lock Suite, where all padlocks operate from the same unique key pattern.

This simplifies key management and should the worst ever happen, and lost or stolen keys compromise the locking system, a new set of padlocks with a new customer unique key pattern can be purchased. 

How many unlocking stations will I need?

The number required will depend on site specific needs, but as a general guide, we suggest a minimum of one unlocker at each entry or exit point, plus at least one lollipop type hand held unlocker to offer flexibility and emergency use should the need arise.

The total number of unlockers needed will also be influenced by the total footfall anticipated, and again as a general guide, we would suggest at least one unlocker unit per 75 users.

What happens if someone needs a pouch unlocked in an emergency?

This could easily be accommodated by using a Lollipop Hand Held Unlocker, which is why we recomend every customer should have one which is easily accessible to authorised users.
