Our Self Tapping Masonry Bolts / Screws are ideal for domestic and commercial applications and are a firm favourite with users from the professional installer to the home handyman.

Great for fixing into concrete, brick, block, stone, marble, wood and other materials, these are truly versatile fixings.

With no wall or expansion plugs needed for the installation, these one piece self-tapping bolts ensure that every installation is quick and easy and of course, there are no other components to lose or worry about.

It also means that as there is no "Expansion" element to the fixing, even when the fixing point is close to the edge, the possibility of fracturing or otherwise damaging the surface into which the fixing is being made, is reduced to the absolute minimum, making this type of fixing a great alternative to expansion bolts or chemical fixings for a wide range of applications.

With a range of sizes to choose from, there is bound to be one that`s just right for your application and when you buy from Insight, you can be sure that you are buying a quality product and not an inferior rip off.

Installation (see installation instructions supplied with the product for full guide)

These masonry bolts / screws are really quick and simple to use - saving you not only hassle, but also money by reducing installation time;

.. drill a pilot hole (see technical spec. below for details) into the fixing surface, then clear the drill dust out of the hole i.e. with a hole blower or other method – remember you will need to drill the hole deeper than the length of the screw, as specified in the technical spec.

Once the hole has been cleaned out, place the item to be fixed to the surface in position and use a spanner or socket wrench to tighten the hex head of the masonry screw into the hole using a slight downward pressure(the fixing surface could be concrete, natural stone, solid or perforated bricks, hollow blocks etc.

The bolt has a dual high-low thread to aid the removal of dust and to ease insertion as it is tightened.

The threaded anchor and self-tapping action safely anchors the item in position with the substrate becoming the nut to the bolt. This method of fixing means that the screw can be reversed and reused in the same hole - as it has cut its own thread.
