"No Quibble - Money Back Guarantee"
The metal detector Sensor Mitt / Sensor Glove is a firm favourite with many types of user, from nightclub door staff to special event stewards, where rapid body scanning for knives and other prohibited metal objects is needed to avoid long delays at the entrance to the facility at busy times.
The open style design ensures operator comfort when used in warm environments, whilst if it is cold, the Mitts can be worn over gloves without impairing performance. In operation the Mitts allow the easy and automatic detection of any metal objects during a quick non contact "Pat Down" check.
Designed with flexibility in mind, each sensor mitt can be worn on the left or right hand and the mitts are designed to be suitable for use by male or female operatives.
Each Mitt features a metal detector sensor unit embedded in the soft palm alongside a vibrating feedback unit which alerts the wearer to the presence of a metal object.
The unit is powered by a standard PP3 type alkaline battery which is housed in the cuff section of the mitt close to the wrist and which will provide up to 150 hours of operation from a new battery.
Sensor mitts can be used individually, although we would strongly recommend using a pair when rapid scanning of persons is required to reduce queues developing at entrance points at busy periods.
Although no physical contact between the scanner and person is needed during the scanning process, the natural movement of the hands close to the body contours means that there is a degree of intimacy during the scanning process.
The close proximity of the sensor mitt to the body of the person being scanned, may in some environments therefore make this type of scanner more suitable for scanning same sex persons (i.e. male operatives to scan male subjects, female operatives to scan female subjects).
