Roller Barrier - straight and level Roller installation.webp

In our latest video we take a close look at the wide range of mounting brackets we offer for our highly effective, totally safe Roller Barrier anti climb system. Read on to learn more.

Why Mounting Brackets Matter

Our widely acclaimed, non-aggressive Roller Barrier anti climb system is all about preventing climbing without risk of causing harm and without the intimidating look of aggressive, anti climb spike barriers. The cleverly designed rotating Roller Barrier cups make it impossible to gain a secure hand hold, but secure, reliable mounting is essential.

Roller Barrier mounting brackets support the central shaft on which the loose, rotating Roller Barrier cups are mounted. These brackets need to securely hold the barrier in place on a wide variety of structures that include walls, fences, gates, rooftop edges and a variety of other locations where climbing needs to be prevented.

Some installations require either double or triple row Roller Barrier. These multi row systems are typically used in locations where higher levels of security are required or where additional boundary height is beneficial.

All Roller Barrier mounting brackets feature at least 2 fixing slots that ensure the versatile brackets are robustly and easily attached. The strong steel brackets are galvanised for reliable weather protection, after having been formed and drilled. They can also be powder-coat painted to a selected RAL colour to match any required aesthetics. The brackets can also be bespoke manufactured in Stainless Steel if required.

Every Roller Barrier installation requires the right type of mounting bracket, configured appropriately to provide effective anti climb protection wherever its needed. Some sites require different mounting brackets to attach to a variety of surfaces with some areas using single row Roller Barrier while others need either the double or even triple row protection. Our latest video describes the variety of Roller Barrier mounting brackets, where and how to use each type and the configurations that work best for straight runs, corners and specialist applications.

Types of Roller Barrier Brackets

We provide a wide variety of Roller Barrier bracket options to suit almost any installation scenario. Some of the most popular solutions include:

  • Universal Brackets: Extremely versatile, can be top-fixed or face-fixed to various surfaces.
  • Fence Top Brackets: Ideal for securing the barrier along the top of walls or fencing.
  • Straight Twist Brackets: Great for fixing Roller Barrier to mesh or panel fences, often with bracing plates for added strength.
  • Fascia Brackets: Perfect for wall-mounting along buildings, rooflines and gateways.

Here’s a closer look at each type.

Universal Bracket

Universal Roller Barrier Brackets

As the name suggests, our Universal Roller Barrier bracket is the most popular and versatile type. These brackets are available from stock in either standard or extended versions for both single and double row installations.

The Universal Brackets can be face-fixed to a wall or fascia, sitting neatly with the row or rows of Roller Cups protruding over the leading edge. Alternatively, the mounting system can be top fixed onto a wall with the cups facing outwards or inwards to present an insurmountable anti climb barrier.

The Extended Universal Bracket has a longer arm, specially designed to overcome obstacles such as rain guttering or coping stones, that might otherwise impede the free rotation of the cups.

Cranked Bracket

The Cranked Bracket for Roller Barrier installation enables the rows of Roller Cups to be mounted at a 45 degree angle to the wall, fence or fascia on which the system is mounted. These brackets are available for both single and double row Roller Barrier systems, presenting an overhang that makes the anti climb barrier even more effective.

Straight Twist Bracket

The Roller Barrier Straight Twist Bracket is similar to the Cranked Bracket, but is designed to mount either single or double row Roller Barrier directly above the protected wall or fence.  This simple Roller Barrier mounting system enables additional height to be added to boundary walls and fences. When used to mount Roller Barrier on steel mesh fencing these brackets are normally used with a bracing plate to form a fence sandwich, with the fencing material sandwiched between the mounting bracket and bracing plate.

2 & 3 Slot Bracing Plates

As noted, our versatile Roller Barrier anti climb system can be installed on suitable forms of mesh fencing. For robust fixing, bracing plates are required. The mesh fencing is sandwiched between the Cranked or Straight Twist Brackets, bolted together to provide a robust, reliable Roller Barrier mounting.

Fascia or Fence top Bracket

This form of Roller Barrier Bracket, available from stock, is designed to enable the robust attachment of Roller Barrier to the top of walls, gates or along fascias. The slim, 90 degree angled brackets position the rotating Roller Barrier row close to surface on which the barrier is mounted, preventing anyone from gaining any purchase if they attempt to climb over. An extended version of this versatile fascia bracket is available for both single and double row Roller Barrier installations.

Alley Bracket

Alley ways often need anti climb protection. Our Roller Barrier Alley Bracket is specifically designed for these situations where there are two walls directly opposite each other. The brackets are supplied with the necessary masonry bolts for firm attachment to walls.

Straight Bracket

Straight Brackets Supporting Single Row Roller Barrier

The Roller Barrier Straight Bracket is a simple, flat bracket, available from stock. This bracket design is typically used at the ends or structures such as fencing panels, walls or equipment enclosures where attaching brackets to the face of the structure is not a viable option.

Lateral Bracket

Our recently designed Lateral Bracket is specifically intended for side-by-side double row Roller Barrier installations. This stylish, visually pleasing bracket is ideal for installation situations where anti climb protection is required on lower level structures. The bracket mounts the double row of rotating Roller Barrier very close to the mounting surface making it impossible to climb over or gain a purchase.

Vertical 55 Bracket

Our Vertical 55 Roller Barrier bracket is specifically designed to support a double row of Roller Barrier on walls, gates and fences. Each row of rotating Roller Cups is slightly offset, at a 55 degree angle, giving the installation both height and depth for increased anti climb protection.  This Roller Barrier mounting design is particularly attractive making it ideal for boundary walls, gates and fences where aesthetics are an important consideration.

Trigard Bracket

Our Trigard Roller Barrier system bolsters anti climb protection by employing three parallel rows of rotating Roller Cups. The Trigard Bracket is our stock triple row Roller Barrier bracket, designed to support a top row of rotating Roller Cups above two lower rows, in a triangular pyramid format. This form of anti climb protection is particularly useful for protecting lower level surfaces and preventing people from using these platforms to potentially reach dangerous areas. This form of Roller Barrier anti climb protection is a favourite choice for use in psychiatric settings.
