Roller Shield Anti-Climb Barrier

Roller Shield Anti Climb Barrier (ACB) - a purpose designed non aggressive Roller Barrier.

Designed specifically for HMP, the Roller Shield Anti-Climb Barrier (ACB), consists of a purpose designed non aggressive Roller Barrier based anti climb cap, which attaches to the top of a multiple 6 foot tall Armadillo interlocking prison shields assembly.

The approved rollers and shields combine to create an Anti Climb Barrier which is both a visual and physical barrier that prevents / restricts movements around the landing by perpetrators.

Roller Barrier Shield - 3-p2

The above image shows the how two of the 3 shield Roller Shield ACBs are used in situ on the top prison landing as containment devices.

The Roller Shield cap prevents a handhold along the top of the shields, while the shields also prevent a toehold between the railings and the landing floor.

Intended for use in pairs, these units are designed to restrict the lateral movement of perpetrators along the outside of landing railings, by positioning a unit on each side of the perpetrator (note: use of this product is subject to training by NTRG).

- note; it is strongly recommended that self adhesive "Anti Climb" warning signs (as shown above) are attached on the outer face toward the top and bottom of each shield (i.e. it is recommended that 6 warning signs are displayed on a 3 shield assembly).

Note:  Anti Climb Warning Signs must be ordered separately

New:  Roller Shield Hanging Bracket Pack

In use, each Roller Shield Unit must be secured to the Railings around the prison landing railings. Whilst some prisons may have easy access to the fixing straps and a metal manufacturers to produce the brackets, many do not, so we at Insight have put together a convenient, custom designed pack including all metalwork, strapping and fixings.

Please remember to specify the Bracket Size required when ordering:

- Size "A" will fit railings where the top rail is up to 4" (100mm) in diameter

- Size "B" will fit railings where the top rail is up to 6" (150mm) in diameter

...in both cases we have allowed an extra 5mm tolerance.

NOTE: If no size is specified, we will ship Size "B" as it is guaranteed to fit over all top rails (the velcro securing strap will keep it in position).
