The Security Torx Barrel Nut is an Insight Stock Item manufactured from Stainless Steel (A2 grade) and is also sometimes called an Inter-Screw.
These barrel nuts are designed to mate with matching sized Pin Torx (Security Torx) Machine Screws or Pin Torx Bolts ensuring that both ends of a through-fixing are tamper resistant.
Although popularly known as a Security Torx product, this Barrel Nut is sometimes called a Pin Torx Barrel Nut, or Star Drive Pin Barrel Nut among other things.
The Security Torx Barrel Nut is available with a button head as shown here or with a countersunk head.
Manufactured from Stainles Steel (A2 grade), these fasteners are suitable for internal or general outdoor applications.
The Barrel Nut is designed for use with the matching size Security Torx Machine Screw or Bolt and will require a matching Security Driver to install or release.
Security Torx Barrel Nuts are typically used as through fixings, which is why they are sometimes referred to as Inter-Screws, with the security torx head protecting both ends of the fastening.
