Introducing the Squire PD SS100S

When lock manufacturers Henry Squire heralded their SS80CS as the strongest padlock in the world, we didn`t disagree, but then they launched the worlds toughest production padlock, their new SS100 range of Closed Shackle and Open Shackle padlocks – and all we can say is WOW! – this really raises the bar for motorcycle security.

Both the Open and Closed Shackle padlocks feature a 100mm wide solid steel body, a removable 20mm diameter hardened boron alloy steel shackle and twin 6 pin locking cylinders which can be keyed alike, or keyed differently to provide a supervisory function.

Each can only be described as a beast of a padlock, with the Open Shackle unit weighing in at around 3.4 kilograms and the Closed Shackle padlock weighing in at a massive 4.3kg.

This padlock is the first ever to achieve the highest LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) Level SR4 accreditation and CEN 6 approval - the closed shackle padlock was tested to Sold Secure Diamond standard with a 22mm security chain.

To achieve that level of accreditation, among other things, the padlock must be able to withstand an attack using a cordless angle grinder (with spare battery and 3 cutting discs), for 10 minutes.

This is a serious padlock so at Insight Security, we supply all separately ordered SS100 padlocks with the R1 restricted key option as standard and at no extra cost. This offers protection against the unauthorised cutting of extra keys, which could compromise your security.

Each of the two lock cyclinders locks one side of the removable shackle in position, so both cyclinders must be unlocked before the shackle can be removed.

Options

SS100 padlocks are designed to offer maximum security coupled with maximum convenience, so are available with a choice of keying options.

All SS100 Open and Close Shackle padlocks supplied by Insight Security are supplied as standard and at no extra cost, with R1 Restricted keys to protect you against unauthorised cutting of your keys.

The closed shackle padlock will accept a single 22mm diameter chain link,

...while the open shackle version will accommodate up to 2 x 22mm chain links

Each of the 2 lock cylinders secures one side of the removable shackle, so both cylinders must be unlocked to allow the shackle to be released.

To satisfy the CEN security rating, the keys must be retained in the lock when the lock is unlocked, so two keys are always required to unlock the unit (one for each lock cylinder)

Extra Keys

These padlocks are supplied as standard with 2 keys per each lock cylinder - extra key sets can be ordered with the padlock (the key set contains 1 extra key per each lock cylinder, i.e. 2 keys in total) - see Order Extra Mauer SS100 R1 Key Set

Please Note, because of the various models and options available, these super tough padlocks are typically manufactured to order by Squire, so if we don`t have precisely what you need in stock, shipping could take 3-4 days

Protecting your investment in your padlocks is easy with GT85 lock cleaner / lubricant (LA GT85400). Inexpensive and versatile, a regular squirt of GT85 which includes a PTFE element, will keep the lock operating smoothly and help to prevent the build up of internal sludge, etc.
