Key Security and key management are critical issues for all businesses and organisations, yet are often not given the attention they deserve.
Key safes and key cabinets obviously have a role to play, but when you need a full audit trail of key movement and key use (or attempted misuse), only a full electronic key tracking / key management system will do.

Traka Electronic Key Management System
Only authorised users have access:
When only authorised users should be allowed access to your keys, and you need a full audit trail of who has used them (or attempted to remove them), the time and date when they were taken, and when they were returned, etc., our key traka key management system provides the complete solution
Automated system with full audit trail and reporting:
This sophisticated, electronic key management system offers foolproof, fully automatic control of key issue and return, backed up by a comprehensive activity logging and reporting system.

Keys are accessed by PIN number as standard, but RFID or swipe card options are also available
Control can be specified at key level
How does it work?

Each key (or key bunch) is secured into the electronic locking board within the cabinet by the intelligent "ifob" retention peg, so each key is uniquely identifiable.
Each user is also uniquely identifiable via the access control system adopted. The standard access control system is by PIN number, keyed into the digital keypad on the cabinet, however as an option, almost any form of access control system can be supported. Popular alternatives include card swipe, RFID token or biometric fingerprint scanning, etc.
Total control:
The system allows for access to individual keys to be restricted to specified users only (i.e. user "C" may be authorised to access keys 1,13 and 27 only - but may not access any other keys within the cabinet)
Full audit trail:
Each time a user removes or returns a key (or attempts to access an unauthorised key) the transaction is logged for the reporting system. So you will always have a full log of key activity - including time and date of key removal and return (therefore how long it was out of the cabinet), and who had it. The software link to a PC allows the full activity log to be printed or archived.
Raise the alarm if key out too long!
You can even set the system to issue an alarm if a key is not returned within a specified time
