Wall Spikes

How could Wall Spikes help you;

Your perimeter is your first line of defence against thieves, vandals and other unwelcome intruders, so fitting wall spikes or some other form of anti-climb product or intruder deterrent typically represents a practical and cost effective investment, whether you are looking to protect your business premises or your home.

What are wall spikes - and what types are available?

Wall spikes are just one of a number of types of anti-climb security spike and whilst the name wall spike indicates that they are designed to be mounted on a wall (typically along the top edge), they can often also be found welded or otherwise fixed along the top of steel gates and robust fences.

Popular types of wall spikes include both static and rotating spiked barriers, with the spikes being manufactured from a range of materials including weather resistant plastics, steel and aluminium, among others.

Wall Spikes - Razor Point Security Spikes

Static security spikes include products such as our; Razor Point steel wall spikes, Razor Channel and Razor Comb metal spikes, and popular plastic security spikes such as our Prikka Strip, Stegastrip and Prikla spikes.

Wall Spikes - Vanguard Anti-climb Barrier

Rotating Wall Top Barriers include Vandguard Spikes, Rotaspike

Roller Barrier Anti-climb system

...and of course where Wall Spikes can't be used, the popular "Non Aggressive" Roller Barrier system offers a practical and cost effective alternative.

Are there restrictions as to where wall spikes can be used?

The short answer is yes, however there are a wide range of commercially available wall spikes on the market, offering different levels of protection and with designs suitable for use in different types of location, so there is likely to be an off the shelf solution for you whatever your needs.

Less aggressive spikes such as those manufactured from plastic material are widely used to form a protective topping to garden walls or fences and are also often used around the top edge of easily accessed flat roofs, such as those found in the school environment, etc.

More aggressive metal type wall spikes are typically used to protect the perimeter of commercial premises and their use is subject to a number of considerations and legal guidelines, such as the minimum height at which they can be installed, the use of warning signs to alert persons to their presence and so on.
